The first three words of the University motto—often shortened to EQB—from Psalm 133:1. The Latin version of the original Hebrew is Ecce quam bonum et quam iucundum habitare fratres in unum! The University uses the English paraphrase, based on the New Revised Standard Version of the Bible, “Behold how good and pleasant it is when kindred live together in unity!” The motto describes the University’s aspiration for living in community.
